Clock Shadow Creamery pioneered urban cheese manufacturing in Wisconsin and a commitment to local sustainability. Located in an award winning building (worth a tour!) in Walkers Point, Clock Shadow creamery makes a variety of cheese focusing on cheddars and soft cheeses including a specialty called quark. Clock Shadow Creamery sources its milk from local farmers and cheese products are made in view of visitors. Tours are offered Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and the retail store is open Monday thru Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

About the building: The building took shape using recovered materials from the Milwaukee area – over one half of the materials are reused including rebar stairwell railings, pickle barrel wooden siding and a variety of fun material uses. The building also has a rooftop garden which is available for events, geothermal heating and cooling system and a power generating elevator. Local artists works are used in the building for a splash of color.
